Two people were killed and three were injured after an Antonov airplane belonging to the Sudan Armed Forces bombed the village of Barasani, located west of the central town of Golo, Central Darfur.
Witnesses said the bombings took place on Wednesday, 26 December, and caused the destruction of seven houses and farms, killing camels and cows.
Golo was captured by the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) several days ago and the Sudanese army is reportedly trying to recapture this key village in the Jebel Marra area of Central Darfur.
According Mustafa Tambour, spokesperson of the SRF, the killed citizens are Yahiya Adam Bahr and Lokman Abdelmajid Haroon.
He says the government is targeting civilians only in Jebel Marra and assured the rebels are still in control of the Golo area.
The SRF says it has information that the government is preparing to carry out more attacks.
