Authorities from North Darfur issued a decision yesterday, preventing all armed movements who are signatory of different Darfur Peace agreements, to carry heavy weapons inside El-Fasher and surrounding towns.
This is a reaction to yesterday's attacks on Ministries of the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) in El-Fasher, North Darfur.
The Darfur Peace agreements include international accords such as the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) and Abuja Agreement; and internal agreements between the North Darfur Government and faction movements from Darfur.
