Kass is undergoing a clean-up effort. Local authorities in the South Darfur town began to implement an environmental sanitation program on Saturday. The campaign involves spraying to control mosquitos, as well as cleaning up the camps and the main streets in the town. Ismail Yahia Abdullah told Radio Dabanga from Kass that heavy rains have affected the completion of the program. He said that some organizations and the African Union – United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) are helping with the campaign.
