Heavy downpour of rain has left six people dead in Malha, North Darfur. Ismael Mohammed Guma, a member of parliament, tells Radio Dabanga that the heavy rains have led to floods in the region. On Saturday 114 mm of rain fell during the course of four hours.

Thousands of cattle perished as a result. In addition, the rainstorms caused the collapse of tens of houses and schools, the MP Mohammed Guma said. No help has arrived. Mohammed Guma appealed to the local authorities to speed up and help those affected by the floods.
