The camp coordinator accused those who participated at Doha of instigating the events. He said that the displaced people came out in a demonstration to protest the assassination attempt against the youth leader. In the process they captured four alleged plotters, including a woman, and handed them over to UNAMID police. The camp coordinator accused the National Congress of destabilizing the camp and giving some of the displaced people weapons to create chaos.
Delegates from IDP camps in Darfur were invited by the government of Qatar to participate at a civil society forum held this month in Doha. Threats of violence against returned delegates occurred earlier this week in Kalma camp.
