Militia threaten North Darfur citizens after win of SPLM candidate

Citizens in Birkat Seira in North Darfur alleged that Border Intelligence Forces beat and threatened citizens in the region. According to a source who spoke to Radio Dabanga from the region, the violence was due to the victory of a Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) candidate in Serif Umra, constituency 24. The resident said that the border intelligence guards accused the citizens of supporting the SPLM.
